Braxton-Grant Technologies is looking for a Data Center Architect to aid in all aspects of data center design and implementation from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing systems. The qualified person in this position analyzes designs, specifications, and related documents and implements system requirements. The architect will ensure compliance is maintained with DOD Information Assurance requirements as well as ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional IT experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Basic Requirements:
Ten (10) years of directly related experience.
Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 (or above) certification is required.
Experience with Clos data center network architecture including spine-leaf topology is required.
Must have experience with VXLAN and VRF technologies.
Experience with plans, designs, and evaluations of data center systems and architectures.
Consult in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies
Provide highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems
Perform complex analyses and studies
Prepare reports and presentations
Manage Government directed project work
Complete medium to large complex projects and major phases or very large projects
Perform the fact-finding, analysis, and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final recommendation reports and delivery of presentation
Deliver projects on time and to budget
Provide technical input towards architecture discussions through technical and best practice consultation
Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and conduct oral presentations.
Excellent analytical and problem—solving abilities.
Understanding and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions.
Experience with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 instructions; system accreditation and security system documentation.
